چکیده

The paper proposes the use of maps expected abrasive wear friction surface a soil-cutting part, which characterize intensity at various points during its movement in soil environment. importance this work is caused by changes modern technologies for cultivation agricultural crops, requiring geometric shapes parts with need to predict their service life. A study physical and mechanical properties structure hardened layer was carried out using gray cast iron. Gray iron preliminarily subjected heat treatment, made it possible increase tensile strength up 200 … 250 MPa hardness HRC 50 55. To resistance operating an environment, hardening electric spark method iron, previously treatment. microstructure deposited became pearlite-ledeburite without graphite precipitation. Electro-spark deposition form wear-resistant several passes, while base did not undergo any changes. No grain size observed layer, favorably affects properties. higher (4800 5000 MPa) than that metal (2300 2400 MPa), no softening observed. According test results products, heat-treated can be recommended as material hardening, since thickness coating does lead initial dimensions tool differentiated surfacing maps.

Modelling Friction and Abrasive Wear of Elastomers

In order to properly model the friction and wear of elastomer materials, it is essential to understand some specific mechanical and tribological features. Mechanical characteristics of elastomer materials are different from those of metals and other relatively hard materials. Elastomers can bear large deformations, the stress-strain curves are non-linear, time and temperature dependent. When th...

Effect of Abrasive Particle Size on Abrasive Wear Resistance in Otomotive Steels

If one of the surfaces which are in touch is rough and hard, it chips the other surface due to relative motion or touching forces. The wear is called two-body abrasive wear. If there are free abrasive particles between the two bodies, the wear is called three-body abrasive wear. The free abrasive particles may be external material dust or the remains of chipping. Usually, the wear starts as a t...

Evaluating abrasive wear of amorphous alloys using nanoscratch technique

The hardness and elastic modulus of several Zr, Pd, Cu, and La-based amorphous alloys were investigated using nanoindentation. Abrasive wear of these alloys was also evaluated and compared using nanoscratch techniques under a ramping load. Damage caused by scratching was examined using SEM. Material pile-up took place in all scratched samples, but to different degrees. The scratched surface was...

Nanoscale Abrasive Wear of CoCrMo in In Situ TEM Sliding

The mechanical behaviour of materials at nanometre dimensions has been a major recent topic of research. In this study, the wear properties of a *60-nm thin foil made of the ductile fcc phase of a CoCrMo alloy were examined using in situ sliding test in a transmission electron microscope by sliding a silicon AFM tip on the fcc matrix under an applied normal load of 416–1,279 nN. The material ne...
